Crossing Thresholds
Bowie finds inspiration in the elements of age, decay and that which is worn. Structures in despair, oxidized metals, peeling paint, and all that is tattered and torn.
Maureen's foundation as an artist can be credited to her parents. As a child, she spent endless hours in their workshops. Having parents that were both skilled artisans in custom drapery, upholstery, carpentry and furniture making, propelled her creative impulses and fueled her imagination.
